ABOUT MOOD SWING ACAPPELLA
Since 2001, Mood Swing has been wowing audiences with great sounds and fun choreography. With a range of music from swing, jazz, gospel, contemporary hits and fun ditties arranged in three and four parts, Mood Swing has something for all ages. Fabulously led by Lisa Schwabe, Mood Swing has been singing around Melbourne at concerts, churches and private functions to the delight of all who see and hear them.
Rehearsals are each Wednesday 7.30-9.30pm in East St Kilda, Melbourne.
Seventeen Years Strong
Mood Swing was established in 2001, under the leadership of Sarah Briggs, a skilled and talented singer, performer and choir director. Lisa began her directorship in 2003, when Sarah moved to New Caledonia. Lisa says: 'I hadn't ever run choirs before, but I had sung in one of Sarah's other choirs (Tongue & Groove) and assisted her with some teaching and song arrangements. I took over Mood Swing and Tongue & Groove and a workplace choir that she had started. It was terrifying, but I figured, if she thought I could do it, then I'd give it a go! Loved it, still love it, can't imagine life without it.'

Our festival is now in its eleventh year and in 2018 it will run from Friday afternoon on the 16th of March through to Sunday at 6:30 pm. This is the weekend after the March long weekend and has been historically considered an off season weekend for the town until the Music Festival was created. The weekend has now become our biggest weekend outside of the January peak tourist period.
